Neighborhood Housing Services of Orange County (NHS OC) has created the HomeAgain program to help stabilize at-risk neighborhoods where residential properties are in distress due to pending foreclosure or have been vacated and boarded up as REO?s. NHS OC purchases distressed properties, refurbishes them, and resells them to homeowners who will be permanent residents. The goal is to acquire and turn the properties quickly to eliminate blight. NHS OC also has grant funds available to assist first-time homebuyers in the purchase of their home.
